Preparing for emergency weather can help keep you and your loved ones safe, organized and informed this hurricane season. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicating an above-normal 2017 hurricane season. In a recent press release Governor Malloy encouraged residents to “get (an emergency) kit, make a plan and stay informed.”
What simple steps can you take today?
- Download or request a free copy of the Connecticut Guide to Emergency Preparedness (available in ten languages)
- Sign up for the State of Connecticut Emergency Notification System
- Use the Guide to Emergency Preparedness to assemble an Emergency Supply Kit and Family Emergency Plan
- Be aware of inclement weather forecasts and follow instructions provided by public safety officials
